Busch
Gardens
Monday
was probably the busiest day. Randy, Rick and Jim got up at 7:30,
showered, ate breakfast and jumped in the car to make it to Busch
Gardens to be some of the first ones into the park at 9am. We
ran through the park to get to Montu, a huge metal coaster. We
were the only ones on the first ride of the day (front row, of
course!) and only a few other people had made it to that part
of the park when we jumped to the back row for the second ride.
Over
the course of the next 5 hours, we covered a large portion of
the park, and squeezed in 12 rides on roller coasters, the aerial
tramway, the Rhino Rally and the Nairobi train. We also saw quite
a number of animals, each with a very large area to roam around
in.
We
headed back to Scott's house and hung out for a while before Randy's
half-brother David arrived with his two daughters and his partner
Kevin. Randy had never met David before (long story), so it was
great for them to finally get to meet.
